UPA Body of Knowledge
The Usability Body of Knowledge (BoK) project is dedicated to creating a living
reference that represents the collective knowledge of the usability profession.
Preliminary work has started, but there is more to do.
The UPA BoK Intern would be responsible for helping us to accelerate the
population of the BoK by:
• Indexing the existing UPA Resources including the UPA Conference Proceedings and
UPA Publications (JUS, UX Magazine, Voice).
• Identifying authors for BoK contributions based on their specific expertise subjects.
• Identifying authors on specific titles and indexing them
Requirements
• Basic knowledge on the practice of usability, UCD, and user experience.
• Ability to work independently and to communicate effectively in a virtual workspace.
• Experience conducting research and compiling it into useful, usable documentation.
This internship will begin in mid-June and conclude at the end of August. The work may
continue after that time if both parties are interested. We welcome the opportunity to
provide school credit in cooperation with your institution. This is an unpaid internship.
