will use their expertise to guide the overall conceptualization, and design of user experience across all Citrix product lines ensuring that our products meet an exceptional standard of usability and design excellence.  The Director of User Experience Designer will engage and work closely with other user experience professionals, product teams and end users to accomplish this goal.  
Primary Duties / Responsibilities
• Provide thought leadership and unifying vision for the user experience and product design for the company
• Establish, optimize and manage user experience methodologies, incorporating industry standard best practices
• Collaborate with the VP of User Experience to develop UI/Product Design strategy
• Build a team of world-class team of User Experience professionals
• Drive the design of next generation, reusable navigation schemes, components and templates across the company’s products, insuring a consistent, appealing, and dynamic customer experience
• Identify and drive cross division, and product group, product design synergies.
• Achieves creative solutions to product, technical, organizational, and other challenges that are encountered
• Participate in all aspects of user experience design to provide expertise and guidance. This participation will include user research activities,  developing design specifications and interactive prototypes
• Stay abreast of advances on the web (both technical and experiential) and look for ways to appropriately integrate these advances into the Citrix interface
• Evangelist for user experience

• Personal passion and fervor for industry leading product usability and design excellence
• Strategic thinking combined with the ability to execute. Can develop the usability and design strategies where the pathway is not obvious.
• Expert understanding of methods for designing easy to use interfaces, including user and task analysis, information architecture, interface design, heuristic evaluation, and usability testing.
• Demonstrated ability to document designs in scenarios, workflows, site architectures, interaction notes, and page template/wireframe formats. Interactive prototype also a requirement.
• Strong leadership abilities.  Decisive.  An ability to make the right calls consistently.  Concentrates on high priority issues.
