Project Manager (UPA-PMCAMH)

Job Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Description

Reporting to the Manager, Web and Portal Technology, the Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery of various web and portal projects and initiatives. The incumbent will play an integral part in the supervision and coordination of activities, including planning, organization, administration, and implementation for multiple projects and initiatives of highly variable size and complexity.  Using well developed organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, the incumbent will also be responsible for building strong and effective relationships with clients, vendors and other stakeholders within and outside CAMH.




Requirements

The successful candidate will possess a university degree, preferably in a computer-related field, combined with four to six years demonstrated progressive and relevant experience in the field.  A project management designation or certification is highly desirable.

The candidate will have extensive project management experience in the areas of web and portal planning, development and support.  The candidate must have a high level of expertise in the uses and capabilities of web and portal technologies.  The candidate must also have a high level of expertise with multiple system development methodologies including the System Development Life Cycle, Waterfall and Agile development.  The candidate must also be experienced with the principles, techniques and methodologies of usability and user centered design (UCD).  Experience and expertise in business analysis and business process management is highly desirable, as is experience with the planning and development of Microsoft SharePoint sites.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate flexibility and the ability to adapt to and manage change.  They must also demonstrate creativity and initiative in problem solving, and the ability to find the best approach or solution to highly diverse challenges.  The successful candidate must have proven strong analytical, organizational, conceptual and decision-making skills and the ability to work within a team environment.  Superior and proven management and leadership skills are essential.

The ideal candidate must also have extensive skill and experience in vendor management.  They must have demonstrated success in managing the expectations of clients, while providing the highest levels of support and customer service.

They must also demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.  Proficiency in French would be an asset.
